Each product on our website has an Online Designer. This intuitive design tool allows users to explore ideas without commitment. It's no-risk and allows you to try different sizes and features to see what's best for you.
Our Online Designers have ease of use in mind, but we also understand technology isn't for everyone. If you prefer traditional, the initial step of running with an idea from your imagination could be a conversation with us or even a simple sketch on paper. We'll take that and turn your idea into something concrete.
If there's a product that isn't on our website, this is also the route to take. Bin stores, chicken coops, entire oak-framed homes, we've seen it all, so don't be afraid to use your imagination.
So how does a simple sketch or an idea become a structure of lasting strength and luxury? Here's how we turn your bespoke vision into a solid structure.
You'll find the Online Designer at the top of each product page. Every designer has the basic dimension controls, and that's a great place to start your bespoke design. You can adjust the width, length, height and clearance, and even shape on some products to create a structure that'll fit flush in your space.
And that's just the beginning. You'll find distinct controls for each structure too. With pergolas and gazebos, there's the option of side coverage. For porches, there's different truss styles. With garages, you can even add a roof room. That’s just a taste of the unique features, the list goes on.
With every change, the 3D model of the structure updates in real time, allowing you to get a first projection of your bespoke idea. You can even add a photo of your space to the designer to see how the structure looks in your own home or garden. Crucially, there's a live price breakdown so you can monitor your budget in real-time.
When using the designer, there are certain limits. These limitations are for structural integrity, and we program the designer for this purpose. For example, a narrow but long pergola, will need supporting upright beams at the appropriate intervals. So the designer will automatically add bays to make sure your design is structurally sound.
If we're working from a phone conversation or a sketch, we'll add the crucial joinery and fine details that'll turn your bespoke idea into a structurally sound design. Whether working off your drawing or the designer, we’ll transform your idea into professional CAD drawings from every angle, creating your final blueprint.
The final CAD drawings detail every component, serving as a master plan our artisans will work off when crafting your design. You'll receive the drawing for approval, and we won't cut a single piece of oak until you're 100% happy that the design matches your bespoke vision.
From idea to blueprint, the next step following approval is to turn your bespoke vision into a solid oak structure and its handed over to our team of craftsman.

From the planed smooth beams to the pre-drilled holes ready for you to connect, the structure is complete and made from European Oak. Once all cutting and joinery is finished, the crew will perform a test assembly to make sure all parts align and everything is in working order. This allows us to number each piece to remove any guesswork from assembly.
The working structure is packed into a kit, ready for delivery and ultimately, assembly when your bespoke vision becomes a living reality.
